Preparing the second call for proposals under the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme

On Thursday, 5 November 2009, in Craiova, the National Authority and National Contact Point for the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme organised the "Info Day" seminar, attended by representatives of universities, local public institutions and NGOs from the region.
Within the event there were presented the relevant documents of the programme (Implementation manual, Expression of interest, guidelines for completing the expression of interest etc.), as well as the results of the first call and the mistakes made by applicants in developing their projects.
The second call for proposals will be launched this month and will be open four weeks, with an allocated budget of 50 million euros. The call will take place in two stages: in a first stage, the applicants will submit an expression of interest, and the pre-selected proposals will be further invited to submit the complete application.
The seminar is part of a series of seminars preceding the second call for proposals: the first was held in Timisoara, on 3 November, and the next two seminars will be held on 10 November in Piatra Neamt and on 17 November in Bucharest.
The South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme runs from 2007 to 2013, has a total budget of 245,111,970 euros and finances cooperation projects between 16 countries in South East Europe in areas such as: support for innovation and entrepreneurship, Protection and improvement of the environment, improving accessibility, development of transnational synergies for areas with potential.
