"Retechnologisation of Vlădeni wastewater treatment plant“ project funded under the PHARE CBC 2005 Programme

The Iasi County Council, in partnership with the Hâncesti Raional Council, run the project
"Retechnologisation of Vlădeni wastewater treatment plant“. The project, funded by the European Union under the PHARE CBC 2005 Programme, has as overall objective the improvement of the quality of environment in the cross-border Prut river basin by developing the wastewater management infrastructure. The total value of the eligible costs of the project is
467,760 euros, of which non-reimbursable financing is
EUR 375,460.99.
The main activities of the project are:
- to form the project implementation team
- to organise the procurement procedures for construction works
- to achieve the construction and installation works, with assembling, including the procurement of equipment and installations for the wastewater treatment plant
- to advertise the project and promote the created services.
The achievement of the investment under the project "Retechnologisation of Vlădeni wastewater treatment plant " has as final beneficiaries:
- The Iasi County Council - as applicant;
- APAVITAL Iasi;
- all the approx. 2,500 inhabitants (permanent and seasonal population) of the locality of Vlădeni;
- the population of the counties within the Prut river basin area - the whole counties of Botosani, Vaslui, Iasi and part of the counties of Neamt and Bacău - approx. 2,985,932 inhabitants.
The deadline for completion of the project is 30 August 2009.
